“Don’t eat bats” – Says racist singer stating the obvious.
London, England – In a tweet that shocked the world, Canadian artist Bryan Adams lamented the cancellation of his gig at The Royal Albert Hall, blaming the spread of the coronavirus on the place that actually spread the coronavirus.
"Tonight was supposed to be the beginning of a tenancy of gigs at the @royalalberthall, but thanks to some f--king bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards, the whole world is now on hold."
Mainstream media outlets have taken aim at Adam’s tweet labelling him as a racist for his remarks.
“This is heinous”, stated one reporter. “To suggest that the fine people of Wuhan only eat bats is to suggest that their culture is Neolithic. It’s racism in its purest form. I’ve been to Wuhan and I can tell you they have a diverse cuisine including cats, dogs and even the critically endangered pangolin”.
As a result of the backlash, Adams issued an apology on Instagram "to any and all that took offence" to his post. Exactly what people took offence to however, remains to be known.
